No Time for
Goodbye - Linwood
Barclay

Review by C.S Hyde
Michael Connelly described this book by
saying “it just flies off the page. It's a one-sit thriller.
You sit down with this book and you won't get up again until
you've turned the last page” and I couldn't agree
more.
Cynthia's family disappear when she is
young after an argument between her and her parents when she
has been discovered parked up with the local bad boy,
drunk.
Narrated by her husband 25 years later,
the story begins with Cynthia trying to re-open the hunt by
appearing on a TV show called 'Deadline'
You can't help feel sorry for Cynthia
as she can't decide which is worse; were her family brutally
murdered or did they run off without her.
Clues start arriving which makes you
change your mind over and over again. When the truth comes out
it's still a total surprise, although you feel, perhaps , it
was staring you in the face all along.
A well written, emotional
roller-coaster which you can't put down until the shocking
climax.
